James R. O'Donnell
- Principal and Chief Creative Director
James O’Donnell has a long history of creating environments for maximum
performance. With over 23 years in the Facility Management Industry, he
has serviced clients throughout the United States, providing design and
logistics management solutions that give companies that distinctive
edge. Working for
clients with 50 members to over 15,000, O’Donnell is equipped to handle
any
project from inception
to completion. His skills in project management,
monitoring, reporting, schematic design and quality control bring
clients that essential mix of practicality and
design flair.
Prior to his work with Optimum, O'Donnell worked for corporations such
as MeadWestvaco and Design Forum, giving him the depth of experience
and knowledge
to effectively understand corporate needs
and the realm of facility
design.
At Optimum, O'Donnell leads his team in the development of innovative
design, allocation of space, seamless move management and performing
what seems to
be impossible. His individual success has helped grow Optimum into a
recognized resource for all aspects of facility planning and management
resources.
Marie O’Donnell - Treasurer
Marie O’Donnell immediately supported her husband’s decision to start
Optimum, Inc. as she, too,
realized the need for a service such as
Optimum’s. Her ever-growing knowledge and involvement has helped make
Jim O’Donnell’s dream a reality. Marie has undertaken a very important role
in the development of Optimum, Inc. alongside her husband. As Treasurer
of the company, her role in day-
to-day activity and continued support
has provided great success. Her impeccable skills and history in
the
travel industry have given Optimum, Inc. the much-needed support in
scheduling projects.
Amy Powell - Executive Director
Amy Powell joined the Optimum team in 2003 as Executive Director. Powell
came
from a background in Criminal Justice, initiating a career change, when
joining Optimum, Inc. She found the philosophy behind this service
incomparable to any other company. Powell has a great passion in
providing service and organization.
She not only maintains daily responsibilities within the office, but
also assists the Optimum team in Project Management and Design. Powell
works very closely with
Jim O’Donnell to ensure that every step of the project management
process is met and maintains a clear line of communication among the
clients and the project management team.
Project Management Team
Optimum has Project Managers who will be on site throughout all phases
of the project. The Project Manager assigned to each project is
responsible for meeting timelines and specifications, which were
outlined during the planning process. Each Project Manager works
directly with the Executive Director and the client, ensuring
a seamless and successful project. Project Managers are responsible for
overseeing the construction, procurement of furniture, delivery of
furniture, installation, relocation, “punch-list” items and clean out.
Included in Optimum’s Project Management Team is the Installation
Manager. The Installation Manager is responsible for procuring the
Installation Team and managing that team from the start of the
installation through its completion. The Installation Manager works
directly with the Executive Director and Project Manager to ensure
all furniture specifications are met and the installation is
successfully completed.
